Not all teachers are good and everybody knows that. But when you encounter a bad teacher, you know exactly that she is one. She won’t just give you an F no matter how hard you try - you would also see in her eyes that teaching isn’t her passion in life at all. This is exactly what Elizabeth (Cameron Diaz) is. And everything that she is not is what Amy (Lucy Punch) exactly is. Amy is her colleague at school who also happen to be dating the cute substitute teacher Scott (Justin Timberlake) whom Elizabeth is attracted to.

Determined to beat Amy not just for Scott’s attention but also for having the class with the highest average, she is determined to do things her way. But then, how would a money-hungry and foul-mouthed teacher who has recently broken up with her boyfriend be able to take away her bad teacher image and become Scott’s apple of the eye, not to mention the best teacher in school?
