X-Men: First Class (2011)

X-Men: First Class Poster
X-Men: First Class, following the classic Marvel mythology, charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga. Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. No Strings Attached (2011) Review

R - Release Date - 21 Jan, 2011 - 108 min
Casts : Natalie Portman, Ashton Kutcher and Kevin Kline
Romance and comedy combine in this light, feel-good film. Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher are on the lead, playing the two friends who agreed to have casual sex together on a strictly-no-emotional-involvement clause. The two were initially okay with the set up until Adam (Kutcher) gets jealous when Emma, (Portman) who is a hospital resident, gets close with a fellow doctor, Sam.

The frenzy starts when Emma rebuffs Adam for his emotional involvement, for her to realize late that she also feels lonely without him. She then tries to win Adam back, who is having issues on his own with his father dating his ex-girlfriend. A series of funny and unfortunate events dawned upon the two main characters, only to be back on each other’s arms in the end. But this time around, they would rather have the strings attached. This one is a good-natured comedy movie with lots of sub-plots that would thrill viewers and genuinely make them laugh while watching.

Just Go With It (2011) Review

PG-13 - Release Date - 11 Feb, 2011 - 116 min
Casts : Adam Sandler, Jennifer Aniston and Brooklyn Decker
Just Go With is a nicely woven, evenly told romantic comedy that would appeal to all love-struck generations. The story is about Danny (Adam Sandler), a man who has to lie about his unhappy marriage to get around women. He met and got close with Palmer (Brooklyn Decker) on the context of a lie only to be exposed to it very shortly. To repair the damage, he decided to make a few more stories to cover up his initial fumble. He then solicited the help of his office assistant, Katherine (Jennifer Aniston) to make Palmer forgive him and take him back again.

This story unfolds with a romantic storyline rooted in good-natured deceit and white lies. While Danny is busy keeping a relationship with Palmer, certain events forced him to return the favor of posing and lying to Katherine. This is because she chanced to meet with her sorority nemesis Devlin (Nicole Kidman) on their trip to Hawaii. After a few more series of romantic events, both Danny and Katherine realized that they’re the ones who are really made for each other.
