The movie One Day is simply doomed to attract the attention of spectator even though it's based on the popular novel by David Nicholas. Literary creation of this, definitely talented author very quickly became the best seller in Great Britain. Then it was published in the USA, where it had considerable success. The author also undertook the duties of scenario writer and converted his creation for a screen version.
Charming Anne Hathaway, well known actress from movies such as "The Jane Austen", "The Brokeback Mountain" and "The Devil wears Prada" plays the lead female role as Emma Morley. In a duet with this wonderful actress was Jim Sturgess, who had previously been featured on such outstanding projects as the "Across the Universe", "Twenty One" and "The Other Boleyn Girl". So, if you like movies that tell touching, vivid and sensual love story it is recommended that you watch this movie One Day.
In the movie "One day " Anne Hathaway played the Cinderella of modern times - a girl from a family of ordinary workers, whose fate brings to the young rich handsome. The characters of film - graduating students of the Edinburgh university Emma Morley and Dexter Mayhew met on July15, 1988. They spent together only night and day and then departed, Emma to London, Dexter to Paris. But on farewell they promised to each other to meet on July15 every year no matter what happens, no matter where fate has thrown them. Since then life has presented them a lot of surprises: each had flights and falling, moments of glory and times of despair. Remains unchanged only one on the appointed day Em and Dex meet in spite of everything. But how many years must pass before they realize that they can not live without each other?
